We're pleased to annouce that our new Projects Area is now ready. This allows us to better co-ordinate our project teams and raise the quality of our work. But the system also allows our clients to access information about how their project is progressing, contribute to strategic discussions on the project as it progresses.

This is roughly how it works...

  1. Each project has it's own private area of our website. All contracts, invoices and specifications related to the project are stored here.
  2. At the beginning of a project, a specification is drawn up. We call this a "Project Book". This details all the features the finished project will be expected to have.
  3. Each feature of the project is broken down into seperate tasks and then each task (or "issue") is allocated to a member of the project team.
  4. People with access to that project's area can track the progress of tasks, and comment on them if they have questions or information to add.
  5. As the project nears completion, outstanding bugs and issues also get added to the system and allocated to a team member, and can also be tracked by all involved.

We'll soon be enhancing this process further to build in evaluation and feedback points. The aim is to continually enhance our Project Management techniques to make them more transparent, faster, more responsive and more robust. We try our best to give clients as much involvement as they want in the project, to help them understand what's going on at any point, and to make sure our work exactly meets their needs.
